Overview #8.Excursions and Guest Speakers: Beyond the School's Boundaries | |
Throughout the year, we organize excursions to places such as a maple syrup
farm during sugaring-off, O.P.P. headquarters, the Fire Station, a skating
arena, and a horse farm.
We welcome guest speakers to our classroom. On Remembrance Day 1997, a World War I veteran held the children's rapt attention for an hour. Another speaker shared stories of his adventures with the wild animals he tends to. Some speakers have taught the children the traditions of their native culture, while others have spoken about a charitable organization which the school supports.
